Breast enlargement / shaping

At Absolute Aesthetics we use Macrolane® breast enlargement for increasing the size of, or reshaping breasts. This has been named the "Boob jab" or "Lunchtime boob job" in the media.

Macrolane® is a minimally invasive breast augmentation technique that takes less than an hour to perform (usually about 40 minutes) and is done totally under local anaesthetic - making it a true "walk in, walk out" procedure. There is one tiny incision under each breast - about 2mm long.

The Macrolane® procedure is explained in more detail on our other websites - see Other Absolute Aesthetics Websites for more details.

Before and immediately after procedure photos of a 52 year old lady, after breast feeding 4 chidren - 120mls Macrolane® to each side

If you think you might be suitable for Macrolane®, the best way forwards is to book a consultation with one of our experts and we will take a full medical history, examine you, advise whether you need any other tests before you have it and go through the pro's and cons with you. If you wish to do this, contact us on the Contact Us page.

If you live a long way from us, or are very short of time, you can use our "What can you do for me" service and do all of this preparatory work by e-mail and post - and then just turn up on the day for the procedure.

Doing it this way, provided you are totally honest in your questionnaire and the photos you send are exactly as we ask, there should be no problem in proceeding with the treatment in the one visit. However, although very unlikely, you should be aware that there will be a very small chance that something has not become clear in the history or shown in the photos that might prevent us from proceeding. As Absolute Aesthetics is a Medical Aesthetic clinic, we will only proceed if we are happy that it is the right treatment for you and you have a very good chance of getting the results that you want.

Please note: The doctor performing your procedure will be a Consultant Surgeon with FRCS as well as the usual MBBS. Your surgeon will be a member of the BACD - British Association of Cosmetic Doctors. Your surgeon will provide the assessment and report from "What can you do for me". The procedure will be performed in a Health Care Commission regulated Acute Hospital. We are happy to provide you details of the doctor allocated to your case if you wish - including qualifications and GMC number.

What do I do now?

If you want to start the ball rolling and see if you are suitable for Macrolane® breast enlargement, enhancement or breast re-shaping then:

  • Contact us and request the Macrolane® breast history sheet
  • We will contact you to confirm it is you asking for the sheet and will take a £50 + VAT fee for the service - the credit card also confirming that you do want the assessment
  • We will send you the Macrolane® breast history sheet
  • Complete the sheet, signed and with your contact details, and post it back to us
  • Send us your photos (Click here for details of photos that we require)

We will then go through your history sheet and look at your photos, to make a decision as to optimal treatment for you. We will then:

  • Send you back a full report stating if you appear suitable or not
  • Most people are suitable - if we don't think you are we will give you full reasons for our decision

Provided you do appear suitable for the treatment:

  • If any tests are needed before treatment, we will advise you of these and should be able to help you organise these
  • We will send you our patient information sheet, a consent form for you to sign and bring with you, a confirmation of cost of the procedure (usually about £2,500 but can be more if extra volume is needed) and list of possible dates and times.
  • If you have any questions or want to chat through possible times and dates, you can contact us via e-mail or telephone
